Jeffery Cox

Jeffery Lynn Cox, age 66, of Brunswick, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
He was born on February 18, 1955 in Canton, Ohio to the late Hilton Stanley and Margaret Betty (nee DeLong) Cox.

Jeff was the owner of Jeff Cox Stables which specialized in standardbred race horse training for over 45 years. Racing at Northfield Park and many East Coast tracks. He was appreciated for all the qualities you want in a trainer; honestly, integrity and knowledge.

He had a passion and talent for golf and enjoyed many days on the golf course with his friends.

Jeff was a member of the NW Church of Christ, Canton, US Trotting Association, and the Ohio Harness Horseman's Association.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Frances Nasiatka; dear brothers, Rannie (Nancy), Tracy (David), Scott (Aliza) Cox; sisters, Sherree Cox and Terrie (Pete) Shrake; many nieces, nephews, also great nieces and nephews.

Jeff leaves behind many, many friends from the Standardbred Industry and will be dearly missed by all who knew and worked with him.

There will be a Celebration for Jeff at Northfield Park, Saturday, June 5th, 2021 in the Northfield Park Grandstand Clubhouse from 4-7 pm.

The family entrusted the Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio to handle the arrangements.
