JOYCE M WHITT

Joyce M. Whitt, age 79, of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born on January 13, 1944, to the late Leon and Evelyn (Deist) McQuade in Fairhope, PA.

She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Church in Brunswick and was a former member of Medina County REACT. Joyce enjoyed bowling in numerous leagues at Dick Hoover Lanes, gardening, reading romance novels, and she was an animal lover. Most of all Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards, and planning family gatherings. She was always sending cards of endearment and encouragement to everyone.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Dewey; children, Dale Whitt, Dawn (Steve) Niple, Jacinda Davis, and Jerri Whitt; grandchildren, Jamie Whitt, James “JJ” Combs, Amanda Davis, Cheyenne Walcher, Evelyn Niple, and Isabel Niple; and many adopted family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd. (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Pastor Carolyn Hier from Holy Trinity will hold service at 7:30 pm. Another visitation will be held at Deaner Funeral Home in Berlin, PA on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Fairhope, PA.
