Kathleen Kirchner, resident of Hinckley for 62 years, entered eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 9, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 21, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Paul and Kathleen (nee McNamara) Walsh.
Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband, William, with whom she was blessed to share 65 years of marriage; children Kathleen (Ron) Richman, Donna (Brian) Guccion, William (Jenny) Kirchner, Margaret (Jerry) Ward, AnnMarie (Dana) Rininger, Daniel (Fonda) Kirchner, Nancy (Jeff) Rischar-- grandchildren Robert (Lynn) Guccion, Megan (Ricky) Rosenbaum, Daniel Ward, Kalynn Rininger, Katheryn (Nathan) Ferguson, Samuel (Leigh) Richman, August (Jessica) Ward, Jacob (Rebecca) Rininger, Emily (Dan) Kirchner, Sarah Kirchner, Benjamin Richman, Colin Rininger, AnnMarie (Steve) Kirchner, Allison Ward, William Kirchner, Edward Rininger, Kathleen (Austin) Rodesky, Catherine Rischar, Daniel Kirchner, Jeffrey Rischar, and Adam Rischar-- great grandchildren Nellie, August, and Boone Guccion, Rhett and Walsh Rosenbaum, Josephine Ward, and Baby Rininger -- siblings Patricia (James, deceased) Pahl, Paul (MaryAnn) Walsh, Patricia Suveges (sister-in-law), Joseph (Karlotta, deceased) Kirchner (brother-in-law). In addition to numerous relatives and close friends.
She was proceeded in death by in-laws Katheryn and August Kirchner-sister-in-laws MaryLou Clingan, Nancy (Don) Champlin, Sally (Bill) Clinton, Donna (Tom) Dubick, Marian (Mike) Mayerchak-brother-in-laws Patrick (Joan) Kirchner, James O'Neill, Kurt Puchhas, Edward and John Corcoran.
Kathleen centered her life around faith and family. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Grace Church, where she taught religious education for many years. She was active in Women of Hope and participated in two religious quilting guilds, making countless quilts for family, friends, and charity. Kathleen was proud of the fact that her 7 children and 19 of her grandchildren attended Highland schools.
The family would like to thank Sharon Family Physicians, Seidman Cancer Center, and Holy Family Hospice for their care and compassion.
Please join the family for a visitation to honor Kathleen on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road (Corner of River Styx and Rt. 18). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, OH, with Fr. Bill Smith presiding. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville OH. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Triumph of the Two Hearts Shrine, Our Lady of Grace Church, Hinckley, Ohio.
