LINDA RUTH APTHORPE

Linda Ruth Apthorpe, 70, of Windham, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 20, 1948, in Ravenna, Ohio to John and Carol (Ashbaugh) Bowen.

Linda attended Crestwood schools through the 10th grade and graduated from Windham High School in 1967. She worked at Packard Electric before staying home to raise her children, eventually returning to work and retiring in 2012 from her position as a teacher's aide with the Portage County CLP. She was actively involved in her community and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her large circle of family & friends.

Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Charlie; children, Cindy (Matt) Selker, Kevin (Tracie) Apthorpe; grandchildren, Philip, Evan, Ryan, Morgan, and Elijah; siblings, Kay (Bill) Velican, Dot Stier, John (Pam) Bowen, Laura (Ron) Beatty, Art Bowen, and Barb (Ric) Everly; and many beloved cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Danny Bowen.

Please join Linda's family for visitation on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 5-8 PM and Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 10-11 AM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Windham Township Cemetery.
