Alan Eberl, 64 of Brunswick, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Southwest General Health Center. He was born July 31, 1946 in Cleveland to Vincent and Miriel (nee Knight) Eberl and was a United States Navy Veteran.
He was a former truck driver, a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Council # 14769. He also enjoyed camping, sang in the church choir for 20 years and loved his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Eberl is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jeanne (nee Gibson) Eberl; children Michael (Christine) Eberl and Brian (Tina) Eberl; sisters Lynne (Walter) Maynard, Phyllis (Glenn) Goebl, Kathi (Ray) DiVincenzo; brother Ken (Patty) Eberl and brother-in-law Marcus Alvarez; grandchildren Thomas and Kristina Schuerger, and Beatrice Rose and Vincent Michael Eberl and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Miriel (nee Knight) Eberl and sister Janet Alvarez.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Martin’s Church with Father Thomas Dunphy officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
