Alan G. Harbert, 76, of Garrettsville, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was born on July 26, 1945, in Talladega, AL. to the late Wade and Helen (nee Wheeler) Harbert.
He liked to spend time with his family and enjoyed going to the bowling alley to hang out with the guys. Al loved road trips with his wife, Sharon. He looked forward going to every sporting event that his grandchildren participated in. Al always made time for his great grandchildren, he never missed a special event; from the first day of preschool for Kenney, to Cameron's graduation. He enjoyed tinkering with his phone and calling his family daily to just check in on them.
Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Sharon (nee Hido), who was blessed to share 55 years of marriage; children, Rachelle (Andy) Yarnell and Alan Harbert; grandchildren, Travis (Lynnsey) Harbert, Dakota (Morgan) Berg, Shane Harbert, and Cameron King; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Harbert and Konnor Harbert; siblings, Larry (Pat) Harbert, Melba Jean (Wayne) Ervin, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to invite friends for a visitation to honor Alan's memory on Monday, December 13, 2021, 11:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH, 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:30 P.M., with Pastor Richard Powers, Sr., of Grace Baptist Church from Brunswick, officiating. Al will be laid to rest immediately after at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH, 44087.
