Albert Honeycutt, age 97, of Medina, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1924, in Montier, Missouri to the late Joseph W. and Flora (nee Cross) Honeycutt.
He proudly served in the army during WWII. Albert was an outdoorsman that enjoyed deer hunting and lake and pond fishing. He enjoyed playing guitar and had a passion for talking to people in conversation about matters of the day. Albert was a jack of all trades; you could often find him fixing things around the house and yard. Most of all, Albert was a family man.
Albert will be deeply missed by his loving children Mary Ann (David) Kriak, Patricia (George) Jay, and James Honeycutt; daughter-in-law, Kathy Honeycutt; grandchildren, Kim (James) Colbert, Jody (Allison) Kriak, Lorrie Jay, Christine (Bobbie) Savage, Jennifer (John) Reale, Melinda Jay, Martin (Darcie) Jay, Harold (Shanee) Rice, Misty (Larry) Crislip, Daniel (Gretchen) Honeycutt, Carrie (David) Hammond, Julie (Cory) Raider, and Jenny Honeycutt; great grandchildren, Dereck Colbert, Haley Colbert, Richard Walters, Emma Kriak, Cassie (Keith) Creswell, Shaina (Trey) McHenry, Aydan Castle, Austin Wickham, Kaitlin Wickham, Paige Savage, Johnny Reale, Alex Reale, Marek Jay, Mara Jay, Jenna Rice, Madison Rice, Joshua, Shaila (Justin) Stellfox , Jona Robinson, Daniel Honeycutt, Xander Honeycutt, Jacob Hammond, Luke Hammond, Ashley Hammond, Daniel Raider, Logan Raider, CJ Raider, Hannah Coffman, Sarah Coffman, and Isaac Coffman; great-great grandchildren, Josephina Creswell, Hudson Creswell, George who is on the way, and Noah Robinson; brothers, Harold Honeycutt and Daniel (Kris) Honeycutt; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Honeycutt, and many nieces , nephews, and loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Florence; daughter, Josephine Rice; son, Daniel Honeycutt; son-in-law, Harold Rice; brothers, Otha Honeycutt, Merle Honeycutt, and Samuel Honeycutt; sisters, Velma Murphy and Zelma Cooper, and sister-in-law Myrtle Honeycutt.
Join the family for visitation on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Rd (1/2 mile south of route 303), Brunswick. Mass will be Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Our Lady Help Of Christians Parish, 9608 Norwalk Rd, Litchfield, Ohio 44253 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Litchfield Center Cemetery in Litchfield. A luncheon will follow at the church.
