Obituary: Alfred F. Lausch, age 84, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Willowood Care Center under the care of Crossroads Hospice. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Alfred J. and Esther (Roman) Lausch. Alfred married the love of his life, Shirley M. (Lewis) Lausch, on September 10, 1949. Alfred was a Veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Air Force and served in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church, the VFW Post #9520, American Legion Post #234, and the Republican Party. He formerly served as a Brunswick Councilman and on the Brunswick Planning Commission. Alfred enjoyed his family, reading sci-fi and mysteries, listening to old time radio programs, and was an aquarium enthusiast. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughters, Susan Lausch, Sandra (Tom) Nenadal, and Sharon (Mark) Holley; sister, Mary Mahmet; and grandchildren, Kathy Nenadal and William Nenadal. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers. Friends may join the family for Visitation on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Services to be held 11 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Family will receive visitors at Church 1 hour prior 10-11 AM. (Please meet at the church). Interment to follow at Westview Cemetary, Brunswick. Family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Brunswick United Methodist Church in Alfred’s name.
