ANNA MARY CIKA

Anna Mary Cika (nee Popeluc), age 101 ½, of Brunswick, passed away on April 19, 2018. She was born on October 23, 1916, in Cleveland to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Augustowska) Popeluc.

Anna was a homemaker most of her life but did work outside of the house to help support the family. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and watching her family grow up. She was devoted to prayer, especially to Mother Mary.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, Steven (Glenna), James (Catherine) and Thomas (Cheri); daughter, Frances (Richard) Faloon; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; sons, Alex and John, Jr.; and half-brother, Bronek Kiernozek of Poland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Anna on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 11 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. Friends may join the family for visitation two hours prior to Mass from 9 AM to 11 AM (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment next to her husband, John, will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.

Donations may be made in Anna’s name to St. Ambrose Catholic Church building fund.
