Anne B. Ruggles (nee Boyer), age 91, of Medina, passed away April 9, 2018. She was born June 24, 1926 in Creston, IA to the late Roland D. and Martha (nee Edwards) Boyer.
In 1941, with her father stationed in Pearl Harbor, a 15-year-old Anne and her family moved to Honolulu, where they were present during the attack on December 7.
Anne lived in Cleveland from 1951-1985; Wooster, from 1989-2010; and Medina, from 2010-present.
In 1980, Anne supported her husband and son in the founding of the Ruggles Ice Cream Company, working in the manufacturing plant and contributing to the family business from its earliest days with her persistence and positivity.
In recent years, Anne was very active in her community and volunteered for the Central Christian Church.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Sue (Mike) Kirby, Peggy (Ryck) Archambault, and Tim (Jennifer); daughter-in-law, Janet Ruggles; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herb; son, Patrick and grandson, Danny.
Friends may join the family for calling hours Thursday, April 19 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Western Reserve Masonic Community Chapel, 4931 Nettleton Rd., Medina, OH. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20, at 1:00PM at Central Christian Church, 407 North Market Street, Wooster, OH. Inurnment will be private.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Medina, Ohio.
