Anthony Raymond Jones (Ronnie), 68 passed away on December 24th, 2020 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on December 16th, 1952 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Shirley Campbell and Nathan Jones of Virginia.
He has lived in Ohio since 1977 with his wife Cheryl of 49 1/2 years and had been a Medina resident for 17 years.
Ronnie was a machinist for Joy Technologies for over 30 years and was a talented painter, remodeler, woodworker, and craftsman. His beautifully crafted furniture pieces will be cherished by his family for years to come. He was a family man who treasured his wife, daughter, and granddaughters. Although he was a quiet man of few words, Ronnie possessed a witty sense of humor that was revered by all who knew him.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Kristie (Stan); granddaughters, Sarah, Katie, and Anna; brother Russell Ray; sister-in-law, Lois; brother-in-law James (Gail); nieces and nephews, Craig, Alden, Dreama, David, Danny, Daniel (Kim), Chris, Michael, Josh, Jennifer, and Nikki and many friends and coworkers.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; father, Nathan; brother, Teddy; and niece, Kimberly.
The family will receive friends for Ronnie on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 4:00- 6:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road,(Corner of Rte 18 and River Styx Rd. Medina, Ohio 44256. EVERYONE MUST WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE.
Memorial donations may be made in Anthony's name to the American Cancer Society, Northeast Region, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
