ANTHONY JOHN KOVACS SR.

Anthony John Kovacs, Sr., 77 of Medina passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Medina Hospital. He was born March 10, 1933 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania and was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was a Pressman for Fisher Fazio before retiring, enjoyed Hungarian music and basketball, coached softball, and loved his family a lot.
Mr. Kovacs is survived by his wife of 34 years Marion (nee Harsey) Kovacs; children Anthony (Karen) Kovacs Jr., Janny (Don) Raker, Katie (Ed) Beck, Lisa (Rob) Phillips, Jeff Kovacs, Carol Ann (David) Mazzoli, Patricia (Harold) Wilson, and Judy (David) Arthur; brother Joseph (Glenda); 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Vikki Arena, parents, and sister Betty Gerlack.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 and on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Akron.
