Arland Neil Rininger, age 92, of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at home surrounded by family. He was born on February 22, 1929 in Copley, Ohio to the late Harold and Oona (nee Murphy) Rininger.
Arland graduated from Copley High School in 1948 and was a proud member of the Copley Methodist United Church and the NRA. He was married to Susie (Coffman) for 63 out-of-the ordinary, crazy years. Our Dad was a Builder/Developer of many projects including Valley View Lake Park in Sharon Township, Bend Of The River hunting and fishing camp in Rollet, Quebec, and Intercontinental Exploration oil and gas company. The "Rainshack" was one of his several inventions, and he also produced the movie documentary "Colorado, 100 Years From Yesterday" about the silver town of Crede. He enjoyed many years of coaching successful baseball teams at the youth and high school levels and was a big supporter of Highland Hornets athletics. Dad was probably happiest amongst nature, with countless trips to Canada hunting for caribou and moose, Colorado hunting for elk (Pope and Young entry) and mule deer, and whitetail hunts in Ohio and West Virginia.
He is survived by his wife Susie Rininger, children Bob, D'Arle, Robyn Rininger House (Brad), Dana Rininger (Ann Marie), Todd Rininger (Cherie), along with 13 grand children, 17 great grand children, 2 great great grand children, brothers Sheldon (Joanne) and Larry (Goldie), and sister Joy (Chuck).
Arland was preceded in death by his father Harold, mother Oona, son Arland Lee, and brother Dean.
Per Dad's request, we will be holding an outdoor Celebration Of Life in the Spring of 2022 when the weather is nicer. The time and place will be announced at a later date.
We would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for their warm and loving care, the Copley United Methodist Church family that have always been there for us, and a special thanks to Dad's caregiver, Erin Haumesser, for her compassion.
