Barbara Ann Goldbach, age 80 of Medina, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
She was born on January 16, 1936 to Albert and Esther (nee Sajakowski) Hiller.
Walter and Barbara were married on June 30, 1956, sharing 60 years together.
Barbara served the Hinckley Township as Zoning Trustee Secretary for 25 years.
She enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Our Lady of Grace Church, and was proud of being one of the founding members of the church. She also developed the first children’s softball league in Hinckley. During her personal time she enjoyed reading, writing and her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Walter, children; Linda Cahill, Laura (David) Kozman, Michael (Jeanne) Goldbach, Karen Canterbury (Randy, Fiance’), Heidi (Scott) Balicki, grandchildren; Nathan (Beth) Kozman, Stacia (Rob) Fox, Adam Kozman, Conor Adams, Kyle and Klay Robey, Aidan, Tara and Trent Balicki also her 3 great-grandchildren and her sister Elaine Hiller. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jeanne Hiller.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio 44233 at 10 AM on Monday, August 1, 2016. Please meet at the church. Burial in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery following the luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
