BARBARA ANN POLLEY

October 24, 1942 — January 18, 2019

Barbara Ann Polley, 76, of Ravenna, went to her Heavenly home to be with her Savior and Lord on January 18, 2019, after a long illness, She was born on October 24, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur and Helen (Bydlowski) Heasley.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, scrapbooking, NASCAR and traveling. Her favorite places to travel were Germany and South Carolina. Barbara was a faithful member of Life Church AG in Garrettsville, Ohio. She was a very hard worker and strived to provide for her family as a single parent. She worked in food manufacturing at Pizza Shops, Pike's Turkey Farm, Stouffer's on the pizza line, Hiram College food service and Great Lakes Cheese on the shredded cheese line. She was a member of Parents without Partners and Alcoholics Anonymous (Nelson Monday Night Group). She was also one of the founding members of Sisters in Sobriety, along with Donna Polley. She lived many years at Garrett House in Garrettsville, Ohio where she had many friends and enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and going out to dinner with them. She lived at Alpine House in Ravenna for a year when she needed more assistance and she made many friends there, as well. She spent the last few months at Aurora Manor, where she tried to recuperate from many surgeries and illnesses.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Chuck) Collins and Lisa (Ron) Moore; sons, Timothy and Thomas Polley, grandchildren, Kenneth (Jessica) Parbel, Allyson (Luke) Teeters, Amanda (Ronald) Reed, Kimberly Polley, Thomas (Jenuwel) Polley, Jr., Eric Collins, Marshall Polley, Blake Polley, Heather Polley and Brandon Polley and great grandchildren, Kenny, Roxanne, Elena, Magnolia, Ronnie, Caius, Liam, Makayla and two more due this year., She is also survived by her Michigan cousins, Michelle Chambers, John Ritz, Jr., Robin Worley, Mitchell Ritz, William Parran, Susan December and David Bydlowski, Also her nieces, Tracey Munson and Tiffany Munson and nephew, Jodi Munson of Smyrna, Tennessee and a nephew, James Hall, location unknown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert F. Polley; daughter, Mary Frances Polley; grandson, Andrew Collins and sisters, Nancy Hall and Rosemarie Munson.

Please join Barbara’s family for visitation on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10AM - 12PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio. Services to follow at 12 PM. Burial to be held in Windham Township Cemetery.
