BARBARA THOMPSON

Barbara Thompson, 74, of Parkman Twp., OH, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was born in Mesopotamia, OH, on June 15, 1949, to the late Tobias and Lucy Ann (Miller) Yoder.

She worked at Sajar Plastics for 46 years, retiring in 2016. Barb belonged to the Warren Women’s Bowling League, where she previously served as director, as well as bowled in many leagues. An excellent cook, her family’s favorites were her pies - both pizza and fruit. If you never got to enjoy them, you truly missed out. Barb enjoyed her grandkids and bowling with her friends that became family, watching her birds in the backyard, and Cleveland baseball. Most of all, Barb enjoyed time with her family and especially loved feeding them.  

Barb will be deeply missed by her loving husband, John E. Thompson; children, Jason (Melissa) Thompson and Sheri (Larry) Skaggs; grandchildren, Austin, Haley, William, Matthew, Mitchell, Tyler, Ariel, and Mariah; great grandchildren, Adam, Noah, and Austin; sister, Ada Thompson, and many nephews and nieces, as well as many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Joe, Martha, Dan, Mary, Liz, Ben, Bill, Andy, Ella and Christie.

Per Barb's wishes, she is to be cremated. Please join the family for a memorial visitation Saturday, May 18, 2024, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 10585 Windham Parkman Rd., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A Celebration of Life will begin at the church at 5:00 p.m., with Pastor Michael Grantz officiating.
