BARRY C. GOTHAM

Barry C. Gotham, 78, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born November 25, 1946, in Chardon, OH, to the late Carlisle and Bernice (nee Lynn) Gotham.

Barry grew up in Parkman with his siblings. After serving in the U.S. Army, Barry joined the family business, eventually taking on the role of president of Gotham Construction Corp. Barry met the love of his life, Jeanne, and they married in 1970 and raised a family together in Nelson.  

During retirement, Barry spent countless hours volunteering for mobile meal programs and at the Parkman Historical Society. Barry was also a faithful blood donor amassing nearly 2 gallons donated during his lifetime. Barry enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and enjoyed sharing stories of his excursions.  

Barry will be missed by his sons, Joel (Sue) Gotham and Scott Gotham; grandchildren, Randy, Sophie, Jared, Nate, and Lindsey Gotham; siblings, Robin (Cassandra), Thomas (Janet), Frances (Joe List), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Arlene Gotham, and his wife, Jeanne Gotham, whom he loved very much.  

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., Barry will then be taken to Overlook Cemetery in Parkman Twp., OH, where he will receive military honors, and placed lovingly with his wife Jeanne.
