Beatrice B. Corbin, age 96, recently of Medina, OH, but life-long resident of Columbus, passed away October 24, 2018.
“Bea” was born in Akron Ohio in 1922 and the family moved to Columbus that year where she grew up on N. Fourth St. attending Medary Elementary and Crestview Jr. High School. She graduated from North High School in 1940 and attended Ohio State University where she was a member of Chi Alpha Omega. Bea met William J. Corbin at Indianola Methodist Church and North High School and they married after the war in 1946. Bea was a homemaker during the 1950’s and 60’s but returned to work with Worthington Savings Bank in 1964 and continued work with Ohio National Bank and Bancohio until retirement in 1986. Bea was also a member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church and the Clintonville Women’s Club in Columbus.
Bea is survived by son C. Craig (Rose) Corbin of Medina, Ohio; four grandchildren: Gina M. (Jeffrey) Crist, Joseph Corbin, Hannah (Ben) Trube and Jacob (Corinne) Corbin; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, William J. Corbin; son, Dale W. (Virginia) Corbin, parents, J. Earl and Lucy M. Ballou; brother, Charles B. Ballou; sisters, Dorothy Ballou and Kathryn B. Best.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 PM. Pastor Ron Dress officiating. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
