Bert A. Reynolds, 80, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Bert was born in Ravenna on August 7, 1942, to the late Harold and Hanna (Rahz) Reynolds.
He was a 1960 graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Bert retired from the Twinsburg Chrysler Stamping Plant after 30 years. He also proudly worked alongside his father helping him build houses and South Wood Apartments in Garrettsville, where he continued doing the maintenance until 2014. Bert enjoyed gardening, camping and bonfires with his family and friends at the family farm, playing euchre, canning, making maple syrup, snowmobiling, hunting and deer processing. He was well known in the area for his "trail bologna". In his younger years, Bert was a member of the Stomper Road Club where he raced his '57 Chevy. He loved taking his daily trips around town visiting his friends!
Bert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Alma (Brunst) Reynolds, who was blessed to share 60 years of marriage; children, Renee (John) Doraski, Scott (Camelia) Reynolds, Jeff (Amy Masl) Reynolds, and Bret (Britt Paul) Reynolds; grandchildren, Scott (Taylor) Smith, Craig (Danielle) Reynolds, Bret Reynolds II, Kyle Reynolds, Olivia Doraski, Nathan Reynolds, Craig Jones, Jaret Doraski and Dillan Paul; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Spearing, Nonie (Daryl) King, Carol (Carl) Michael, Melanie (Dino) Manno, and Linnette (Rick) Patrick, and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Reynolds, and nephews, Steven Kerr and Robert Logan, Jr.
Per Bert's wishes, he was cremated. Services for Bert are private, and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
