BILLIE JEAN BAISDEN

Billie Jean Baisden, 66, of Nelson Twp., OH, passed away peacefully after a long battle with illness with her loving family by her side on Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born October 24, 1958, to the late Roy and Evelyn (nee Mellin) Sayre.  

She was raised in the Garrettsville area, and was a proud graduate of James A. Garfield High School. Billie retired as a Tech Aid at NTI in Aurora, OH. She liked to read, do jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and canning. She never was much of a baker, but Billie enjoyed to cook for the people she loved, and she really loved her family!  

Billie will be deeply missed by her husband, David Baisden, who was blessed to share over 40 years of marriage; son, Shawn (Vickie Johnson) Baisden; stepson, Scott Baisden; granddaughter, Harper Lynn; siblings, Laurie (John) Taylor, Juliann Vermillion, Donald (Sharon) Sayre, and Doreen (Chuck) Lallathin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Leonard Sayre.  

Please join the family for a visitation Monday, December 30, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Sandra Greenberg officiating.
