Bonita June Mallory (nee Viets), 90, of Garrettsville, OH, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014. She was born on May 9th 1924 to Joseph and Hazel (Lower) Viets of Southington, Ohio.
She lived in Garrettsville and worked at Pelsue Drug store and taught Sunday School at the United Church. Bonnie loved to cook, bake and play word search puzzles. Her favorite pastime was being surrounded with her family.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by her loving sons Robert A. (Cheryl) Simpson of Garrettsville and Richard Jim (Lara) Simpson Jr of Masury, OH; grandchildren Todd (Michelle) Simpson, Pamela (Bill Leahy) Simpson, Carisa (Dan) McCoy, Lindsy Simpson and Brent Simpson; seven great-grandchildren; siblings Joan Scaggs of Saybrook and Todd (Beverly) Viets of Austintown; niece and nephew Patty Mallory and Tom Mallory.
She was preceded in death by her husbands’ Wayne Bishop and Philip J. Mallory (former owner of Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home); siblings Wayne, Jim, Lyle, Dick, Buck, Millie, Marilyn, and VeraBell.
The family will welcome friends for visitation on Monday, December 1st, 2014 from 6 – 8 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home, 8382 Center Street, Garrettsville, OH 44231. Funeral Service Tuesday December 2nd at 12:00 with visitation 1 hour prior at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Hiram Ohio.
