CARL E CHRISTNER

Carl E. Christner, age 82, of Brunswick, passed away February 23, 2016. He was born May 11, 1933 in Dawson, Pennsylvania to the late Ray and Margaret (nee Sullenburger) Christner.

Carl was a veteran Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps between 1953 and 1956. He was a lifelong member of the Brunswick VFW Post 9520. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his favorite sports team was the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved children, Mike (Theresa) Kratzer, Sue Ellen (Luke) Lackman; brothers, Dwayne, Dave; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Candice, Vanessa, Angie; great grandchildren, Kairi, Dominic, Averly, Landon, Alyssa, Ashley, Michael; great great grandchildren, Brandon and Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Eunice; brothers, Bill, Alec, Ralph; sisters, Ora, Esther; and sister-in-law, Jan.

Friends may join the family for visitation Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 11 am to 12 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm with Donna Kandah as the Celebrant. Interment to be held at Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
