Carl Thomas Gawelek, 78, of North Royalton, passed away on September 12, 2012.
He was born March 3, 1934 in Berea, OH to Karol and Pauline (nee Kokoc) Gawelek.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (nee Cahill); loving children Paula (Regis) Gallagher, John (Charlotte), Kenneth (Elizabeth), Robert; devoted sister Anne Lewis; grandchildren Regis, Ryan, Jessica, Keegan, Jarred, Matthew, Kathleen, Jack, Henry and Leo, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by siblings Tekla, Joseph, Jane (Zacharyasz), Barney, Walter, Josephine (Dusky) and many close loved ones.
Carl was a member of the IBEW Local # 38 for over 50 years and was the Building Commissioner for North Royalton. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
Friends may join the family for Visitation on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (½ mile South of Route 303), Brunswick, OH 44212. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Parish, 6667 Wallings Road, North Royalton, OH 44133. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Private Interment will be held at a later date. Family suggests contributions may be to St. Albert the Great Endowment Fund, 6667 Wallings Rd, North Royalton, OH 44133.
