CARLEEN A. CARLSON

Carleen Carlson, 64, of Brunswick, joined her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 26, 2024, with her loving family at her side. She was born July 22, 1960, in Defiance, Ohio to the late Earl and Katharine (nee Colaric) Carlson. She was the sixth of their seven children.

She was a graduate of Brunswick High School and Bowling Green State University. Carleen worked in the family funeral home for over 25 years as a funeral director. She felt blessed to change her role as a caregiver in the funeral home to becoming the primary caregiver for her mother Katie. Carleen’s proudest accomplishment was her son Vaughn.

Carleen will be deeply missed by her son Vaughn Hamrick-Carlson; bonus children Allison, Emily; bonus grandchildren, Kindle, Alex, Zayne and Tommy siblings, Michael (Trish) Carlson, Kathleen Bolan, and Patrick (Patricia) Carlson, brother-in-law Tim Marcovy; nephews and nieces Kelly (Kerry) Gump, Brad (Cynthia) Carlson, Ryan (Amanda) Carlson, Justin (Christy) Carlson, Alicia Braxton, Cameron Carlson, Trevor Carlson, Vanessa Carlson, Meaghann (Scotty) Lees, Aaron (Naomi) Marcovy, Grady (Flora) Carlson, Brittany (Tony) Brown, Paige Carlson, and Reagan Carlson; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents; life partner, Rick Hamrick; bonus daughter Kayla Hamrick; siblings, Mary Marcovy, Neil Carlson, Sean and Lani Carlson.

Please join the family for a visitation on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of St. Rte. 303) Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Burial will follow in Hope Memorial Gardens where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Ricky.
