CAROL J. KOSTIW

Carol J. Kostiw, age 79 of Brunswick, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 28, 1937 daughter of James A. Smith and Madeline M. (nee Molnar). Carol loved to cook and doing crafts especially quilting; and was a great dancer all her life.
She will be missed by her sister; Madeline (Robert) Demand; loving mother of her only son Tim Mezic, nephews; Robert, John, Michael and David Demand; also seven great nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gregory.
Carol was truly blessed to cross paths with what we would like to call “Angels” with hearts of gold. They over seen her care during the last years of her life and affectingly nick-named her “Kit Kat”. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Monica Nieves, Alexsandria M. Rockow, and Jenna Rollins.
Family and Friends will meet at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256 at 10AM on Tuesday, April 18th for a procession to Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E. Waterloo Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 to Carol’s final resting place. In Memory of Carol, contributions may be directed to Compassionate Care Hospice, 300 North Cleveland Massillon Rd. Suite 103, Akron, Ohio 44333.
