CAROLYN J. RAY

Carolyn J. Ray (nee Jones) passed away at her residence in Brunswick, OH. She was born to Leonard and Verna (nee Davis) Jones on December 25, 1942 in Blountsville, AL. She was a chef since 1970 and most recently, worked at Clementine’s in Olmsted Falls, OH for the last 17 years. Carolyn was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW post #9520 in Brunswick, OH. She leaves behind her children, Donna (Donald) Morgan, Leonard (Melinda) Phillips, Johnny W. Phillips and Michael K. Ray; grandchildren Brandon, Chris, Jada, Leandra, Leigh, Mike, Erin and Katie; great-grandchildren Peyton and Jaxson. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and Randy Jones, and grandchild, Kira. Friends may join the family for a memorial visitation on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Carlson Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile south of rt. 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A VFW memorial service will begin at 6:30pm followed by songs and quiet time. Burial at a later date in Blountsville, Alabama at Mt. Zion Nazarene Church Cemetery.
