Catherine was born on October 14, 1925 in Cleveland, OH. As a young woman she held several jobs before attaining a position with NASA Lewis Research Center. During her career with NASA she continuously moved forward in her roles until her retirement in the 1980’s.
Born and raised in Cleveland is where Catherine would remain to later raise her own two sons with the help of her mother. She was a strong and independent woman and worked tirelessly. Catherine was a meticulous housekeeper, had a magazine like garden and she was an even better cook. As a young woman she loved dancing and later love to reminisce about those days. She adored the dazzle and drama of theater; later in her retirement years she volunteered often at Playhouse Square. She cherished relaxing with a good book and her beloved cats. Many great times were spent sharing stories with family and friends over a glass of wine. Catherine was the cornerstone of her family and will be remembered for her willingness to always lend a helping hand.
No funeral services will be scheduled at this time out of an abundance of caution. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Catherine’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, please follow the link:
