Cecilia "Cece" Ann Brock Todd-Erikson, 66, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on October 5th, 2022, in Columbia Station, Ohio, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Cece was born June 7th, 1956, in Medina, Ohio, to Raymond and Eileen Brock. Growing up, Cece spent her life between Ohio and St. Petersburg, Florida. She became an upholsterer at a young age and spent much of her life showcasing her creativity through window displays, artwork, clothing, and furniture. Her creativity led her to many adventures, including winning a local radio contest where she made a life size buzzard out of foam.
Cece is survived by her husband, Steven Erikson; her children, Lucas (Lauren) Brock, William (Terrell) Lenhard, and Rebecca (Kevin) Palmer; her 11 grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Charlie, Taylor, Lilah, Sienna, Nora, Mason, Evan, Delaney, and Gus; her siblings Tom (Lori), Bob (May), Eileen (Alan), and Peggy; and many friends and family members held dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Eileen Brock, her siblings, Rae Marie and Buddy Brock, and her brother-in-law, Donnie Dewees.
As a friend, Cece was always the first to show up whenever there was a need. Her positive attitude and servant's heart blessed many lives. As a sister, aunt, and cousin, she always brought joy and laughter to every party. She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own and was always known as the "fun aunt."
As a single mother of 3, Cece spent her entire life dedicated to her children. From homeschooling and traveling with her daughter, to making school costumes, to alligators and crazy pets, and putting up with her sons' teenage shenanigans, Cece made sure that her children had endless stories to share with their children. She raised her children to know the love of God, and she passed on generations of family values that serve as the foundation of the family.
As a grandmother of 11, Cece managed to have a unique and loving relationship with each of her grandchildren. Just as she did with her children, she took her grandchildren on many wild and crazy adventures. Some of the best adventures were picnics at Hinckley, raising tadpoles and butterflies, singing and dancing, creating artwork, and playing music. One of the most notable memories was when she put ketchup on her face and hid in the trunk of the car to scare her grandchildren after a scary movie. In addition to the fun memories, Cece was always the first one to volunteer to rock babies all night, take care of sick grandchildren, or love on troublesome teenagers.
Cece will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends, and most of all: her faith and devotion to Christ. She spent her life serving others and spreading the Word of God to all that would listen, touching many lives with her compassion, generosity, and free spirit. Her legacy of showing God's love through serving others will carry on through her children and grandchildren, who experienced first-hand the everlasting love and grace of God through Cece's actions.
