CHARLES RAYMON ATWOOD

C. Raymon Atwood “Ray”, 88, of Garrettsville passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. He was born on December 28, 1930 in Chagrin Falls to Charlie and Martina Atwood.

He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was proud to be a member of Garrettsville Masonic Lodge No. 246 for many years. He was honored to be the Past Master throughout his career, 50-year Blue Lodge member, Royal Arch Masons of Ohio Past High Priest. He enjoyed working as a Printer for the Record Courier for 30 years, and also enjoyed his time working at the Garrettsville IGA. He was proud to be a former Garrettsville Council Member.

Ray will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marlene whom he was blessed to share 38 years of marriage; children, Mark Milano, Doug McFall, Noreen Milano, Karen McFall, Julie (Tim) Kleinhen, Paula Wheldon, and Shelly (Richard) Jagers; grandchildren, Nicholas, Dustin, Bethany, Matthew, Miranda, Daniel, Olivia, and Alyssa; and great grandchildren, Camden, Paisley, Payton, Cooper, and Harper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Stanley and Alma.

Please join Ray’s family for visitation on Friday December 13, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Homes, 8382 Center Street Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. A Masonic Service will be held at 5:30pm. A Funeral Service for Ray will be held on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 11:00am at the Garrettsville United Methodist Church, 8223 Park Avenue Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 with Rev. Richard Thewlis officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
