Charles E. Ely, 52, a lifetime Nelson resident, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 29, 2010. He was born May 8, 1958 in Ravenna, Ohio to Clair W. and Mildred (Hall) Ely.
Charles was a bricklayer for Eli Miller Construction. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family & friends.
He is survived by his brother, Robert (Annette) Ely of Southington; daughters, Jennifer and Belanie Ely of Tennessee; half-sister, Elaine (Jerry) Biltz of Avon Lake; 5 nephews, 1 niece and 1 great-nephew.
Calling hours are 6-8 PM on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 where funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday with Rev. Fred Bell officiating.
