CHARLES R. "CHARLIE" (POP) HARRIS

Charles R. “Charlie” (Pop) Harris, age 72 of Granger Township, Ohio passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. He was born December 18, 1943 in Pullman, West Virginia to Frank and Helen (nee Barker) Harris.

Charlie proudly served his country in The United States Army. He was employed in sales with Ward Trucking Company. His memberships include The Sandusky Sailing Club, Orrville Sportsman’s Club and Our Lady of Grace Church. He enjoyed sailing, hunting, reading, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He was a true handyman.

Charlie will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 24 years, Mary Jo; children, Christine (Blair) Collins, Susan (Dean) Sauerwine, Katherine Harris, Alex Harris; grandchildren, Katharina, Gavin, Dean, Benjamin; sister, Carol Suchan; and sister-in-law, Peg Steyer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2 to 5 pm at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, OH 44256. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, OH 44233. (Please meet at church). Fr. Joseph Mecir will be officiating. Inurnment following service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
