Charles R. Hlad, age 72, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 3, 2015.
Cherished husband of Rebecca, loving and generous father of Danielle Cannon (Kevin), Michelle (Thierry) Waldmann, Christopher Hlad. Beloved grandfather of Sophia, Nicolas, Elizabeth, Victoria, Julia, and Matthew. Brother of Betty Jane Halasz (Steve, deceased), Richard (Annie, deceased), Joanne (Wayne) Sigmon. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anne (Vavrus).
Charles was a devout Catholic who graduated from Benedictine High School. He loved to garden and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. Retired from AT&T after 40 plus years.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, 260 Broad St. Wadsworth (Please meet at Church). Interment will be on July 9, 2015 at 9:30 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (Please meet at Cemetery). Address to cemetery is 10175 Rawiga Rd. Rittman, OH 44270.
