With much sadness and a broken heart, I share with you that Charles A. Malek, Sr., of Medina, Ohio, my husband of 11 years, my soulmate, and my best friend for 36 years, lost his battle with heart, lung and kidney disease, Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the age of 81.
Chuck was a devout Catholic with strong faith; a member of Saint Francis Xavier. He was a graduate of St. Edward High School and a proud electrician in IBEW Local 38 for 61 years. Chuck was a Korean veteran, lifetime member of Medina VFW and member of American Legion. Chuck had many friends and “fish tales” over the years, as he and Susan lived in Marblehead for 22 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan K. Malek (Phillips-Scheimann); his sons, Charles M. Jr., Christopher, and Scott (Cheryl) and their mother, Elaine. He is also survived by step-daughters; Debra Memmer (Bruce), Brenda Turner (Dennis), and Lora Stuart (Michael aka Buck); cherished grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of seven (Papa Chuck); and Winnie, his four -legged best friend.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Eileen Malek; his brother Thomas; and daughters, Debra and Sharon Josephine.
A very special person who will be missed by all.
