Charles R. "Dick" Martin, Sr., 95, of Windham, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. He was born December 11, 1927, in Uniontown, PA, to the late Russell and Margaret (O'Neil) Martin.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and World War II Veteran. Dick was an avid fisherman and would root for the Pittsburgh Steelers every season. He was a long-time coach for the Windham Hot Stove Baseball program, and will always be remembered for his famous spaghetti dinners, sense of humor, and loving heart.
Dick will be deeply missed by his sons, Charles R. "Dick" Martin, Jr. and Frank (Dena) Martin of Windham; siblings, Glen Robinson Jr. Of Maryland, Margaret Pellegreen and Cindy Bierer, both of PA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; family friends, Cynthia and Paul Dragovich; beloved dog, Gus, and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Glen Robinson, Sr.; his wife of 62 years, Barbara L. (Bradley) Martin; son, James "Jimbo" Martin, and sister, Doris Yurick.
Per Dick's wishes, he is to be cremated. Service for Dick are private, and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
