CHARLES W. RATCLIFF

October 25, 1930 — April 4, 2020

Charles William Ratcliff, 89, of Garrettsville, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born in Weston, West Virginia to Jason and Anna Elizabeth (Johnson) Ratcliff.

He grew up in a small farm house with his brothers and sisters; Virginia (John) Engle, Clarence (Dale), Ellen (John) Howes, Robert (Jean), Anna (Bernard) Zickefoose, James (Mildred and Elizabeth), Paul (Joyce).

Charles met his one true love, Joyce Martz and they were married on July 19, 1951. They had a special true love like no other. He and Joyce moved to Garrettsville where they raised their 3 children; Sharon (Roy) McGinnis of Windham, Debra Adamson of Nelson, and David Ratcliff of Garrettsville. Charles had 3 grandchildren Dennis (Audrey) McGinnis, Jennifer Carleton and Amy (Chad Blewitt) Rutherford; and 8 great grandchildren, who he enjoyed watching as they were growing up.

He worked at Denman Rubber Company for over 36 years before retiring and living between Garrettsville and Florida.

Charles will truly be missed by all who were blessed to loved him.

A Public Drive-Thru visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services 8382 Center St. Garrettsville, OH 44231. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you do not attend. A private family burial will be held at Park Cemetery.
