Charles B. Sharp, Jr., passed away peacefully on April 30, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 27, 1936 to Charlie and Irene (Crouse) Sharp in Anthony, Ks.
He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion post # 674 and the Garrettsville VFW. Charles was a 1st degree Mason. He loved his family and to fly. Charles was a Lt. Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol.
Charles will be dearly missed by his children, Michael (Marilyn) Sharp of Connecticut, Timothy Sharp of Texas, Tammy (Jeffrey) Horn of Garrettsville and Todd Sharp of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and siblings, Mildred Ryal of California, Paul (Nina) Loefke of California.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy, with whom he spent 62 years of marriage and siblings, Carl Loefke and Eugene Sharp.
In honoring Charles’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Service 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
