Chester J. Udell, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at University Manor, Cleveland.
He was born on September 18, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Chester and Florence (nee Gindra) Udell.
Chester was employed as a diesel mechanic at Ford Motor Company, retiring after 35 years of service. He was also a member of UAW #1250. He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, traveling to the Sandusky area and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving children, Laura Lee Udell, Chester Udell, Jr., Valerie (Donald Jr.) Irwin, Douglas (Rhonda) Udell, Kevin Udell; dear grandchildren, Chester (Monique), Mitchell (Iris), Austin, Dustin, Bradley, Megan (Wade) and Autumn; cherished great grandchildren, Ava and Tidus; beloved sister, Patricia (Fritz) Flaker.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Darlene J. (nee Ayers) Udell.
A graveside service will be held for Chester on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brookpark. Meet in front of the gate at cemetery at 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. graveside service.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick.
