Christine (Sue) Garnett, age 80, passed away on October 07, 2024. She was born on September 7, 1944, to the late Lucille (nee Click) and Edgar Garnett.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Diane (Butch) Rose and Toni Tucker. She is also preceded by her siblings, Jimmy, Phil, Ron, Joyce and Pat.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Jackie (Jeffrey) Campbell and James (Darlene) Clarke; grandchildren, Lori, Keri, Jeffrey, Amanda, Eric, Mary, Mellissa, Zane, Anthony, Jr., Matt, Joey, Nick, John and Kayla; and many great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
A One-of-a-Kind Grandmother, Pet Spoiler, and Life's Spitfire.
She was a woman of many favorites and even more opinions; Christine’s grandkids were her pride and joy. Honestly, they could do no wrong, no matter what their parents said! She was known to have a “favorite” grandchild, but in typical Christine fashion, it changed depending on the day. Each grandkid swore they held the title, and she never told them otherwise.
Her love for her family was rivalled only by her love for her pets. Her cats Trouble and Missy, Chase her Jack Russell, Ace the ever-loyal Shepherd, and Luna the French Bulldog were her constant companions. They were spoiled beyond belief, living lives most humans would envy.
Christine had a fiery spirit—you couldn’t tell her nothin, and if you tried, you’d better be ready for the consequences. Known for her changing styles, she kept everyone on their toes—one day she had blonde hair, the next day she’d dye it black. You never knew what to expect, and she loved it that way. Her sense of humor was as bold as her style choices, and she took great pride in keeping everyone guessing.
Christine was also a lover of all things true crime, spending countless hours listening to cases, convinced she knew what happened before the show even ended. She had a quirky obsession with chewing ice, often leading to playful (but serious!) ice battles with her daughter, Toni. If Christine was down to the last piece, well...let’s just say Toni learned to back off.
An artist at heart, Christine loved both creating and admiring art, especially the darker, edgier pieces. Her creativity and love for the unusual were a reflection of her unique soul—there was no one quite like her.
Christine was the kind of woman who lit up a room, not just because of her presence but because of her unapologetic zest for life. She was fiercely protective, hilariously stubborn, and unapologetically herself. Her family will remember her for her love, her fiery personality, and the laughter she brought to every gathering. The world is a little less colorful without her, but her legacy of love, laughter and way of life will live on.
