Clarence Seymour Ensinger, 79, of Garrettsville passed away on May 22, 2015. He was born on June 14, 1935 to Lewie S. and Estella (Miller) Ensinger.
He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Windham, Tri-County UFO Study Group, a Trombone Player in the Community Band, a Pilot and a member of the Northeast Ohio Railroad Historical Society. Clarence enjoyed driving the Bookmobile for the Portage County Library, and was a member of the James A. Garfield Historical Society, Portage County Trail Walkers, various Senior Citizen Clubs and took several mission trips to South America. He had worked for Ensinger Electric with his Father and as a Maintenance Electrician at the Ravenna Arsenal. Clarence was proud to have served in and retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant.
Clarence is survived by his children Paul (Melinda) Ensinger and Sue Ellen (Kevin) Hall; grandchildren Nicholas “Nick” Ensinger, Samantha Ensinger, Daniel Ensinger, Zack Hall and Sarah Hall.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Mary Ellen Ensinger and infant son David Mitchell.
Family will welcome friends on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM and Wednesday May 27, 12:00 – 1:00 PM with the Service at 1:00 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St, Garrettsville, Ohio 44231 with Rev. Kris Patt officiating.
Burial will follow in Drakesburg Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
