Clarence A. Jordan, age 84, of Brunswick, was called Home to join his beloved wife, Dorothy (nee Chuha) on May 4, 2015. He was born on November 27, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Nellie Jordan.
Clarence was a lifelong member of the Bricklayers Union Local 5 of Cleveland and was a master craftsman of his trade. Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a demolitions expert and soldier who was honorably discharged. He was a lifelong member of the Brunswick V.F.W. Post 9520. During his earlier years, he was a Boy Scout leader in North Royalton. Clarence was an amicable man who could meet a stranger and strike up a conversation about anything.
He will be dearly missed by his sons, Donald (Cathy) Peterson, Eric (Judy) Peterson; grandchildren, Donald, Brad, Erica, Jacob, Emily, Heather, Josh; great grandchildren, Austin, Aiden, and Dillon.
Clarence was preceded in death by his five older brothers Kenny, Donald, Richard, Russell, and Howard.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at St Emilian Byzantine Church, 1231 Substation Rd, Brunswick, OH 44212. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH AT 9:30 AM) A Divine Liturgy will take place at 11:00 am. Fr. Andrew Nagrant to officiate. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH 44212.
