CLYDE W. BARBEE

Clyde W. Barbee Clyde W. Barbee, 79, of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at VNS Hospice Care in Copley. He was born May 12, 1930 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harold and Viva (Lightfoot) Barbee.

Clyde was employed at Ford Motor in the Stamping Dept. He attended The Chapel in Green, and was a member of the Plant City Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, swimming, reading and woodworking. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians games with Sandra.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Sandra (West) Schneeberger Barbee of North Canton; sons, Mark (Rita) Barbee of Ravenna, James (Jane) Barbee of Cuyahoga Falls, Duane (Lynn) Barbee of Akron and Kevin (Carol) Barbee of Akron; daughters, Linda Kay (Ray) Carter of Freedom, Connie (Robert) Powell of Tallmadge and Kathryn (Ted) Ball of Uniontown; siblings, Phyllis (John) Liberatore of New Philadelphia, Robert (Judy) Barbee of Urichsville, and John Barbee, of New Philadelphia; nephew, Jimmy Barbee and other nieces and nephews; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth , Sandra’s first husband, Kurt Schneeberger, and brothers, Harold, Mike and Bill.

Calling hours are 10 AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Oh. 44231. Funeral Services will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Lyn Warner officiating. Burial will be at Drakesburg Cemetery, Freedom Twp.
