Corbin Graves, age 92, of Brunswick Hills, passed away March 3, 2018. He was born March 21, 1925 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Carvey and Ancy Elizabeth (nee Escue) Graves.
Corbin served in WWII with the Army Airborne, then was in the 1st Armored Division as Staff Sgt., earning a Bronze Star (Italy Campaign). He was decorated several times. After his military service, Corbin worked for the Santa-Fe Railroad, retiring as a foreman. He was an animated storyteller with a great sense of humor. Corbin was a beloved grandpa of 9, dear and loving great grandpa of 15, and a beloved uncle of many.
He will be dearly missed by his four sons, Darryl (Susan), Dennis (Felicia), Dean (Christine) and David (Stacy).
Corbin was preceded in death by his wife, Rose in 1981 and his second wife Eva, in 2016; as well as 11 brothers and sisters.
Friends may join the family for visitation Wed. March 7, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road, (1/2 mile south of Route 303) Brunswick, OH 44212. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM. Interment will take place Sat. March 10, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka Kansas.
