Dana R. White, 81, of Mantua, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 21, 1941, in Paducah, KY, to Dana Servatus Trumbull and her father, Leon A. Carr.
She enjoyed playing cards with her sister Luci, watching her grandson Alex play baseball, and watching the Indians games with her husband Kenny. Although they were separated by many miles, Dana enjoyed her phone conversations with her sister Sandy. She was the Steelers football team's #1 fan. Dana’s favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, although that spoiling extended to her many adopted grandchildren. The highlight of each week for her was spending her Friday nights with her grandkids Brandi and Joey, and two of her great-grandkids, Alyssa and Daxton. Dana had a heart of gold and never hesitated to help anybody who needed help. She was and is still loved by more people than we can count.
Dana will be deeply missed by her husband, Kenneth "Kenny" White, who was blessed to share over 63 years of wedded bliss; children, Cheryl Ann (Richard) Sponaugle, Sharon Louise Eskins, Shelley Marie (Gary) Pope, and Sean Bradley White; grandchildren, Brendon Allen (Joy) Eskins, Brandi Alyssa (Joey) Wallis, Brittany Louise (Joey) Schaefer, Courtney Renee (Kevin) Stier, Alexander Raymond White, and Harper Payton White; great-grandchildren, Xavier Donovan Kole Eskins, Jarrett James Eskins, Colton Kenneth Schaefer, Alyssa Dawn Wallis, Temperance Jailyn Eskins, Madison Nicole Schaefer, Connor Alexander Stier, Kash Alan Stier, and Daxton James Wallis; siblings, Sandy Snyder and Luci (Don) Wymer, as well as many nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon A. and Dana Carr; beloved firstborn son, Kenneth Leon White, and her brother, Leon Frederick Carr.
Please join the family for a visitation on Thursday, September 14, 2023, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 7:00 PM, with Chaplain Bill Wisniewski officiating.
