Where do we begin to honor our kind gentle brother? We ALL were so incredibly blessed to have Dan here to teach us kindness, patience, understanding, and most of all unconditional love for sixty-three years.
Dan was born to Boyd and Jean (Porto) Boehnen October 29, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was surrounded with love and protection by his ten (I won't say siblings) brothers and sisters of which nine of us survive. Peach (Glenn) Smith, Ang (Mark) Manera, Michael (Simala), John, Jeananne, very special brother, Tom, Patty, Maryellen (George) Newrones, Diane (Jimmy) Sparks.
Our dear brother Tom gave Dan his undivided attention and round the clock care for twenty- three years. They helped one another with their talents making the other better in every way. Scott and Carole, Dan was so appreciative of your delicious homemade meals and award winning, pies, we all thank you. Carrie and Holly, Dan loved you like family (which you are) and was always so happy to have you at our many family gatherings. Kenny, Jeff and Mike we thank you for the friendship all these years, you made Dan's days when you guys showed up! Linda when you and Bill came up from Fla. Dan would look sooo forward to your arrival! He loved his brother Bill. he did too.....yaknow Employed by Windfall Industries through MCBDD for many years where he took pride in his work and most of all his paycheck at the end of each month. Amy, Jennifer and Sheryl thanks so much for all your undivided attention and care through PAC.
Preceded in death are Dad, Mom, Bill and Richie. Surviving are many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces, Carole, Linda, Diana and so many of his lifetime friends, way too many to mention, you know who you are!

He was an unwavering fan of the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State Buckeyes. Dan's greatest joy was just being with us....and packing his salami sandwich, yummy...
