Photo: Obituary:Daniel Howard Dieckman Sr., 71, of Valley City passed away on September 3, 2011 at The Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He was born September 5, 1939 in Berea, Ohio to Howard and Margaret (nee Birkenheuer ) Dieckman. Mr. Dieckman was a veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was employed for over 40 years as a Carpenter, and was a member of the Brunswick Knights of Columbus and Brunswick Eagles. Surviving are his loving wife Marilyn (nee Knudsen) daughters; Debrae Barensfeld, Christine Farrell, son; Daniel (Anna), grandchildren; Tim, Matt, Brett, Alex, Ashley, Sara, Zach, Halie, siblings; David (Angie) Diane (Gerald) Pragg, Donita (Frank) Glinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Deborah Dieckman.
