DANIEL HAGGERTY,80, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on Sunday, April 16, 2017. He was born on October 30, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Marie (nee McKean) Haggerty. Daniel served in the US Army from January 1955 thru January 1963. Daniel and Sylvia Joan (nee Krych) Haggerty were married on April 8, 1961.
SYLVIA JOAN HAGGERTY,76, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was born on October 30, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to Mitchell and Geraldine (nee Flave) Krych.
Daniel and Sylvia were married 56 years sharing their love with 4 children, 6 grandchildren, extended families including their Pier-Lon Park family and many friends while both employed with Sts. Philip & James Catholic Church.
Daniel enjoyed reading and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan; and the proud grandson of
Ed McKean of the Cleveland Spiders. Sylvia enjoyed all animals, playing games and winning, cooking and they both enjoyed bingo, casino trips and above all, they were devoted to their faith, family and to being of service to others.
They are survived by their daughters; Zarmell (Mark) Hicar, Michelle (Joseph) Wedlake, sons; Sean (Natalie), Daniel (Brianna), grandchildren; Jason, Alex Hicar, Kaitlin Haggerty-Quigley, Carson Wedlake, Lauren, Shane Haggerty and sisters; Margaret (Tony) Drury, Lynne Gleason, Mary Ellen Farrenholz. Daniel’s brother Robert Farrenholz. Sylvia’s brothers; Robert Krych, Paul (Veronica) Krych and Ron (Kathy) Woodthorpe and son-in-law, Michael Quigley.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jack, Edward, Joseph Haggerty, Boyke Farrenholz and sister Marie. Sylvia by her parents, and beloved husband Daniel.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx & Rt. 18), Medina, Ohio 44256. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 East Washington Street, Medina. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Rev. Luigi Miola of St. Martin of Tours Church (Maple Heights) will be officiating. Their final resting place will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman/Seville, Ohio on May 2, 2017 at 10 AM.
