DARE S. FLICKINGER
October 3, 1926 — September 8, 2010
Dare S. Flickinger, 83 of Medina passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 3, 1926 in Chippewa Lake to Harold S. and Alsetta (nee Fretz) Flickinger and was an Attorney for General Motors for 32 years. After retiring from GM, he opened his private practice in Cleveland.
He was a United States Navy veteran, a member of First Baptist Church of Medina, an avid golfer and reader, and was a true sports enthusiast. The joy of his life was his family.
Mr. Flickinger is survived by his children Jeff (Helen), Greg, Gretchen, Dare (Edna), Brent, and Chris (Lori) Flickinger; grandchildren Dare T., Nicholas A., Henry, Kayla, Natalie, Madison, Katrina, and Brett Jenkins Flickinger, Brandon, Adam, Hanana, and Jenna Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kay Flickinger, and sister Jean Summerville.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (Corner of Route 18 & River Styx Road), Medina. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
