Darleen Brauel, 73, passed unexpectedly at her home Thursday, November 12, 2020.
She worked for Cleveland DHS and Adoptive Network Cleveland most of her working years, she was devoted to her adoptive kids. Darleen was the memory of our family and could remember most stories for her siblings and even more for her nephew, Josh, and nieces, Tara, Jenna and Callie. She was a loving mom (to all her pets over the years) including most recently, Scooter and Tessa. Darleen was a sister to twin brothers and sister, auntie and sister~in~law. Her lifelong passion was to support the animal humane society. Her gentle smile and voice will be missed along with her lifelong stubbornness and always a touch of “curmudgeonliness”. Everyone should know she loved red and green. She was a great babysitter to her siblings, as she once shielded the family refrigerator from her then pubescent twin brothers. The result she bravely suffered a “love tap” to her stomach. In later years Darleen suffered another “love tap” to the back of her head from a paddle ball her sister (don’t stand in the way) sent her way! She was a teacher, confidant, sewing and shopping buddy, irritant and most stubbornness person plus, the lastest person to any affair going on. She was her sisters bestest friend.
Darleen is survived by her brother, Richard Jr Brauel, (Jean), and sister Noreen S Hannan (John) and nephew and nieces.
Preceded in death by parents Richard Sr., and Elsie H. (Vaigle), Brauel, brother Robert “Bob” Brauel, (Dawn).
No memorial services due to COVID but a family and friends gathering after this is all over!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution’s maybe made to Adoptive Network Cleveland and Animal Humane Society of Cleveland. Arrangements for Darleen were entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services 3477 Medina Road Medina, Ohio 44256.
