DARRELL WAYNE KIRKWOOD SR.

Darrell Wayne Kirkwood, Sr., 59, of Garrettsville, Ohio formerly of Warren, Ohio passed away peacefully and climbed his stairway to heaven, while holding his daughter’s hand, on Monday, April 29, 2024. 

Darrell was a beloved father of two children, Darrell Wayne Kirkwood Jr. and Mariah Eileen Kandel both of Garrettsville, Ohio, and a loving grandfather to Bentley M.W. Reedy and Lonnie Richard Hill. He also leaves behind his siblings, Barbara Krietzer (Thade) of Belleview, Florida, John A Kirkwood Jr of Lancaster, Ohio, and Monica Martindale of Wyoming/Colorado Line. 

Darrell was passionate about NASCAR, drag racing, camping, fishing, bonfires and taking long road trips, and he loved a game of DICE or Backgammon with friends and family on the weekends. Darrell also enjoyed listening to music and was often called "Bad Company" as a truck driver on his CB radio. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, John A. Kirkwood Sr. and Lila Mae Kirkwood- Hansen, stepfather Christopher Hansen, and sister-in-law, Angie Kirkwood. 

Per Darrell's wishes, he is to be cremated. Services for Darrell are private and were entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
