DARWIN K. "DOC" LEGGETT
March 1, 1927 — June 12, 2018
Darwin "Doc" Kenneth Leggett went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Lueva and Kenneth Leggett on March 1, 1927. He served in the second world war and returned to marry the love of his life, Mary Ann (Papiska) Leggett.
Darwin was self employed for 40 plus years. He was an avid reader and loved to write and spend time with his family, but first and foremost he loved his Lord and Savior and shared his faith to all that would listen.
Doc leaves his wife and 5 daughters; Terry (Gary) Stewart, Judy (Jerry) Vecchio, Patty Kennard, Susie (Tim) Knudsen and Amy (Bruce) Lange; grandchildren, Ben (Sara) Vecchio, Jeremy (Jen) Vecchio, Eric Lange, Nick (Marthe) Vecchio, Brian Owens, Abby (Brian) Anderson, Lisa (Levi) Gealy, Katie Nelson, Samantha Byrum, Joshua (Megan) Nelson, Seth Stewart, Marie (Wesley) Washington, Ali Knudson and Katie (Mike) Lachendro; grandchildren, Kayla, Samantha, Jake, McKenzie, Victoria, Bryce, Brennan, Wyatt, Trevor, Marcello, Bruce, Mia, Owen, Gracie, Jackson, Jonathan, Ayla, Colton, Andy and Barrett and great great grandchildren, Melody and Adriel.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents; sister, Oueda Lynn; son-in-law, Bruce Nelson; granddaughter, Stacey Owens and great granddaughter, Isabella Vecchio.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Funeral Services to follow at 12 PM with Pastor Tim Paroz officiating. Burial to be held in Park Cemetery with full military honors.
